Today I was chatting with Rick Calvert who organizes BWE and he told me the program for 2008 will be up soon. It will be very exciting this year, more bloggers, more streams, more new media. Why are we going? Well Des has put his hand up to speak and chair a panel. Maybe I will do that next year. I had so much fun last year and I was a new blogger, I met some of the legends of blogging, people whose blogs I had read and commented on.
Dave Taylor, John Chow,Jim Kuckral, Liz Strauss, Erin aka Queen of Spain, Wendy Peirsall, Andy Wibbels , and many more. Who knows if I hadn’t gone to Blog World I might not have hooked up with Glenda AKA The Left Thumb Blogger in Vancouver recently, let alone organized a Tweetahon.
I would probably not be the Beach Notes guest blogger each week at the most famous Liz Strauss’s Successful Blog.
This year I am looking forward to catching up with old friends, meeting new blogging friends, meeting new exhibitors, maybe I can win an iphone this year. I will put that into my attraction basket.
So if you are wondering whether it is worth going, I would say yes and did I mention the parties?
$ 200 is a great deal and Rick has organized some neat hotel prices too. This year we are going to stay within walking distance to the convention centre and get the monorail to other places at night.
