Now I understand the value and importance of focus and how this determines my future and in turn the abundance I will have in my life. I reflected on how easily it is to get distracted and how time can just evaporate, the day ends, and the to do list is still incomplete. Yesterday, as I started my day and began clearing my work area. (more about that in another post) I found a poem on faded pink typing paper with a pinked edge,that my mother typed out many years ago called :
TAKE TIME
TAKE TIME TO THINK IT IS THE SOURCE OF POWER
TAKE TIME TO PLAY IT IS THE SECRET OF PERPETUAL YOUTH
TAKE TIME TO READ IT IS THE FOUNTAIN IF WISDOM
TAKE TIME TO PRAY IT IS THE GREATEST POWER ON EARTH
TAKE TIME TO LOVE AND BE LOVED IT IS A GOD GIVEN PRIVILEGE
TAKE TIME TO LAUGH IT IS THE MUSIC OF THE SOUL
TAKE TIME TO GIVE IT IS TOO SHORT A DAY TO BE SELFISH
TAKE TIME TO WORK IT IS THE PRICE OF SUCCESS.
There was no author listed so after going to “what must be the worlds greatest source of distraction,” Google: Firstly I discovered that it was by an anonomous author, secondly there were several sites using the poem, some had added to it others using the original. I also discovered that an hour had passed by. One of the sites was about time management! This reminds me of something Lisa Diane said on one of her talks about having a power hour, making the decision to take action!

Your new layout is looking great. I agree that focusing and avoiding procrastination is the key. In a way it is similar to the way a paramedic approaches their job – they attend to the task that most needs attention first, even though there are a lot of other tasks requiring attention happening at the same time.
