So much for well laid plans to have pre written blog posts all set up to go while traveling. Things have not gone according to plan. Firstly we were not able to connect to the wireless network where we were staying in Beijing.
Then my respiratory system reacted negatively to the air pollution of Beijing – currently somewhat of a giant demolition and construction zone ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. So consequently lack of posting.
Here are photos of me in Beijing on Day 1 – note cranes in the background – and then at the Great Wall.
We are now in Shanghai and about to head off to the Mogan Shan Artists District, with some very good Sydney friends we ran into last night at the famous Face Bar in the grounds of the Rui Jin hotel where we are staying. What a small world it is.
Its funny how life throws us repeated curve balls. Great to see that you understand it empowers us to learn lessons and make the best of circumstances. The photos reveal you’re taking in foreign culture. We can always learn lessons from how other people behave and treat the environment. Reminds me hwo often we tend to hear, “do as I say , not as I do?!”
I want to grow and be a famous traveler just like you.
Peace, love and chai tea

That first picture looks great. The building in the right hand corner looks unique…I never been out of country other than Puerto Rico and they didn’t have something like that 😉 Hope you enjoyed your trip
