07/07/07 Marks the Day I Unsubscribed From Mike’s Mates’ Lists by Des Walsh. He is sick of the Internet Marketing Gurus’ orchestrated email bombardments to get him to buy stuff he doesn’t need – says he hopes it’s the last gasp of Web 1.0 marketing.
I was wondering how many other people have had their email boxes bombarded by so many of the gurus.
I have spent time over the past few weeks unsubscribing from many lists, but I still had them coming thick and fast.
I don’t think these people are reading the likes of the “authority conten” leaders: John Reece whose report The Rebirth of Internet marketing and Jack Humphrey of The Friday Traffic Report and author of The Authority Black Book, both offering free, informative information that will help any marketer on the net understand what’s happening and be at the cutting edge of Web 2.0, not behind the game driving people mad.
My email box will be much quieter and less distracting this week.
