Namaste is such a "feel good" word. I love the ring to it. I loved the sound of the word even before I asked a friend what it meant.

Turns out 'Namaste' reflects the belief of a Divine spark within each of us located in the heart chakra. To say it is like sensing the soul in one person through your own soul. "Nama" means bow, "as" means I, and "te" means you. Thus, Namaste literally means "bow me you" or "I bow to you."

Some people gesture Namaste. Over time, I learned this ritual is expressed when someone places the hands together at the heart charka, closes the eyes, and bows the head. It can also be done by placing the hands together in front of the third eye, bowing the head, and then bringing the hands down to the heart. This is an especially deep form of respect. Its a form of love and compassion.
