I am midway through Gary Vaynerchuk's book 'Crush It' which is a phenomenal read. It has gotten me to follow my passion FIRST, and all the other pieces start to fall into place. Makes the time spent creating content, etc. much more enjoyable! This article is a fantastic tie-in to what I'm reading, and solidifies many of the same points (passion, connection).
