I am also doing this course on your suggestion. My blog is less focused and I don't have a commercial goal, which makes me inherently less focused on goals. It is interesting the way you have thought through some of the things that make different social groups helpful. We just had our Awards for Blogpower, which is a loose association of bloggers from all over the world in Second Life. It was an interesting way to interact in a different way with bloggers who we know through their writing. I am interested in the potential, but it was more fun than educational. I know that there are a many organisations that conduct activities in Second Life. You do need a powerful computer and a good connection to get a reasonable experience.
